An apple a day….

Fall brings memories of apple dishes… beginning with fried apples for breakfast using Yellow Transparent apples, aka Pippin.  My father would bring home the apples from a neighbor and early the next morning, Mother would fry these in a bit of bacon fat, brown sugar, and cinnamon.  These would be served with fried eggs, bacon, and toast.
